After a couple months off in which I was taking classes and working almost full time, I make my return to Cubs blogging.  Much has happened in this time and I won’t try and play catch up, but I’ll sum it up here.

It’s the fourth of July, the Cubs have traded Carlos Marmol, Scott Feldman and Steve Clevenger; they’ve DFA’d Shawn Camp, acquired Jake Arrieta (now in AAA), Pedro Strop, Matt Guerrier and international pool money; they’ve also signed a bunch of top international prospects (eg OF Eloy Jimenez and SS Gleyber Torres); they’ve also won three series in a row and are 36-46 and 15.5 out in the Central, 11.5 out in the wild card.

And with all of this in mind, let’s talk Cubs baseball!
