Hey everybody, welcome to the Billy Goat, my Chicago Cubs blog.  My name is Ryan, and I’ll be covering the Cubs here for a while.  I’ve jumped around from site to site, and blog to blog, so this is not my first time writing about the Cubs.  Hopefully I can find a more permanent home, but in the mean time, let’s talk some baseball.

I’ve been a Cubs fan since I was a little kid, and I’ve always been a stats nerd, if you will.  I also spend an inordinate amount of time reading about the Cubs, the Major Leagues and all things baseball.  So here I am to share some of that knowledge with you in a way that will attempt to 1) interest you, the reader, 2) help you to form well thought out opinions regarding all things Cubs, and 3) share my opinions and predictions about the team, since they are very important.
